Ingredients
1 full size baguette, sliced into 1/4 inch slices
3 tablespoons butter, melted
1 tablespoon olive oil
15 ounces brie, good quality, sliced into 1/4 inch slices
1 jar fig preserves, about 18 oz
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with foil.
2. Place baguette slices in a single layer on the baking sheet.
3. In a small bowl, combine melted butter and olive oil.
4. Brush the butter mixture evenly on both sides of each baguette slice.
5. Bake for 8–10 minutes, flipping once if needed, until crisp and golden.
6. Top each crostini with a slice of brie.
7. Add a generous teaspoon of fig preserves over the brie.
8. Return to oven for 3–5 minutes, just until brie softens.
9. Serve warm.
Notes
Use triple cream brie for the creamiest texture.
Fig preserves with visible fruit pieces add extra flavor and texture.
To make ahead, toast crostini and prep toppings separately, then assemble and heat before serving.
