- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 1/4 cups buttermilk
- 1/2 cup pumpkin purée
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup toasted pecans
Instructions
- Brown the butter and let cool.
- Whisk dry ingredients in one bowl, wet in another.
- Add brown butter to wet ingredients.
- Combine, fold in pecans, and cook 2–3 minutes per side.
Notes
- Use canned pumpkin purée for convenience.
- Toast pecans for extra flavor.
