Ingredients
1.5 lbs boneless chicken
2 tbsp oil
1 medium onion, chopped
1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
2 tomatoes, crushed
1/4 cup plain yogurt (optional)
1/2 cup water or stock
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp turmeric
1 tsp red chili powder
2 tsp garam masala
Salt to taste
Fresh cilantro for garnish
Instructions
1. Heat oil and sear chicken cubes with cumin seeds. Set aside.
2. Sauté onions until golden, add ginger garlic paste.
3. Stir in tomatoes and spices. Simmer until thick.
4. Return chicken to pan. Add water or stock. Simmer 15–20 min.
5. Stir in garam masala. Garnish with cilantro and serve.
Notes
Use chicken thighs for juicier meat.
Add cream or yogurt for a richer sauce.
Pairs well with rice, naan, or potato sides.
