Ingredients

  • 1 2/3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup pumpkin purée
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips (tossed in 1 tbsp flour)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9×5 loaf pan.
  2. Mix dry ingredients in one bowl.
  3. In another bowl, mix wet ingredients.
  4. Combine wet and dry ingredients.
  5. Fold in chocolate chips.
  6. Pour batter into the prepared pan.
  7. Bake for 55–65 minutes.
  8. Cool before serving.

Notes

  • Use room temperature eggs for better mixing.
  • Tossing chocolate chips in flour prevents sinking.
  • Check doneness with a toothpick before removing from oven.
