  • 1 lb Ground Beef (browned and drained)
  • 2 cups Cremini Mushrooms (sautéed in a dry pan until browned)
  • 1 cup Cottage Cheese (blended)
  • 1 cup Shredded Swiss Cheese
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat until fully cooked, then drain every drop of fat.
  2. In another skillet, add the cremini mushrooms and sauté them in a hot, dry pan until they shrink and brown.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the browned beef, dry-seared mushrooms, blended cottage cheese, and black pepper.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and top it evenly with shredded Swiss cheese.
  5. Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F for 15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbling.

Notes

  • Dry-searing mushrooms prevents a soggy casserole.
