  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 12 oz penne, fettuccine, or spaghetti
  • Salt, for the pasta water
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken with salt, pepper, and Cajun seasoning. Cook in olive oil until golden and cooked through.
  2. Slice the chicken and set aside. Cook pasta in salted water until al dente, reserving 1 cup of pasta water.
  3. In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic. Add Cajun seasoning and paprika, then stir in cream and broth.
  4. Simmer the sauce until slightly thickened, then add Parmesan cheese. Combine pasta and chicken with the sauce.
  5. Toss everything together, adding reserved pasta water if needed. Garnish with parsley and serve.
