Ingredients

- 5 to 6 pound pot roast
- 2 (10.75 ounce) cans condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1 packet onion soup mix (1 ounce)
- 1 1/4 cups water (or substitute with beef broth or red wine)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Lightly spray the crock pot with non-stick cooking spray.
- Place the roast in the crock pot and season with salt and pepper.
- In a bowl, mix the soups and water, then pour over the roast.
- Cook on low for 8 hours or on high for 4 to 5 hours.
- Serve with potatoes and veggies. Enjoy the gravy with mashed potatoes.
Notes
- Browning the roast before cooking adds extra flavor.
- Substitute 1/4 cup of water with red wine for richer taste.
