- ¼ cup honey
- 1 tsp to 1 Tbsp hot sauce
- ½ tsp crushed red pepper
- ½ lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp onion powder
- ⅛ tsp salt
- ⅛ tsp pepper
- 1 Tbsp olive oil
- ⅓ cup crumbled feta cheese
Instructions
- Preheat broiler.
- Combine honey, hot sauce, and crushed red pepper in a small saucepan over medium heat for 5 minutes or until warm. Remove from heat and let cool.
- Pound chicken to an even thickness between plastic wrap using a meat mallet.
- Sprinkle chicken with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Cook chicken in hot oil in a cast-iron or ovenproof skillet over medium-high heat for 5 to 6 minutes per side or until done.
- Top chicken with cheese and transfer skillet to oven.
- Broil for 2 to 3 minutes or until cheese is lightly browned.
- Drizzle with hot honey mixture and serve.
Notes
- Adjust the amount of hot sauce to control the spice level.
- Serve with roasted Brussels sprouts and potatoes for a complete meal.
