Ingredients

  • ¼ cup honey
  • 1 tsp to 1 Tbsp hot sauce
  • ½ tsp crushed red pepper
  • ½ lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ⅛ tsp salt
  • ⅛ tsp pepper
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • ⅓ cup crumbled feta cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat broiler.
  2. Combine honey, hot sauce, and crushed red pepper in a small saucepan over medium heat for 5 minutes or until warm. Remove from heat and let cool.
  3. Pound chicken to an even thickness between plastic wrap using a meat mallet.
  4. Sprinkle chicken with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  5. Cook chicken in hot oil in a cast-iron or ovenproof skillet over medium-high heat for 5 to 6 minutes per side or until done.
  6. Top chicken with cheese and transfer skillet to oven.
  7. Broil for 2 to 3 minutes or until cheese is lightly browned.
  8. Drizzle with hot honey mixture and serve.

Notes

  • Adjust the amount of hot sauce to control the spice level.
  • Serve with roasted Brussels sprouts and potatoes for a complete meal.
