Fun and spooky Halloween Monster Cupcakes made with Devil’s Food cake mix, colorful buttercream frosting, and candy eyes. Perfect for parties and family baking.

Ingredients

Scale

3 sticks softened butter

1 pound powdered sugar

1 tsp vanilla extract

Heavy cream or half and half

Food coloring (4 shades)

Candy eyes

Devil’s Food cake mix

Instructions

1. Make and bake the cupcakes according to box directions.

2. In a stand mixer whip the butter and powdered sugar together.

3. Add in the vanilla extract.

4. Add in cream 1 tbsp at a time until buttercream reaches desired consistency.

5. Separate buttercream into 4 bowls and color each one a different color.

6. Pipe onto cupcakes.

7. Add candy eyes.

8. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

Swap Devil’s Food mix for vanilla or red velvet for variety.

Use gel food coloring for bold, vibrant colors.
