- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust for spice preference)
- 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
- 1 cup broccoli florets (optional)
- 2 cups cooked rice (white or brown)
- Sesame seeds (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
- Cook the beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat until browned (5–7 minutes).
- Drain excess fat, then add garlic and ginger. Sauté for 2 minutes.
- Pour in soy sauce, brown sugar, and sesame oil. Simmer for 3–4 minutes.
- Add broccoli if using, and cook until tender (3–4 minutes).
- Prepare rice separately if not already cooked.
- Serve beef mixture over rice.
- Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.
Notes
- Use leaner beef if you prefer less fat.
- Adjust red pepper flakes for desired spice level.
- Double the sauce for extra flavor.
