Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 ½ teaspoons cinnamon

¾ teaspoon ginger

½ teaspoon allspice

½ teaspoon ground cloves

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon salt

1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature

½ cup brown sugar

¾ cup white sugar

1 large egg

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

1 cup pumpkin puree

2 cups chocolate chips, divided

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F.

2. In a large bowl, whisk flour, cinnamon, ginger, allspice, cloves, baking soda, and salt.

3. In a stand mixer, cream butter, brown sugar, and white sugar until fluffy.

4. Add egg, vanilla, and pumpkin puree; mix until smooth.

5. Fold dry ingredients into wet mixture until just combined.

6. Stir in 1 ½ cups chocolate chips.

7. Spread batter into greased 13×9-inch pan.

8. Sprinkle remaining chocolate chips on top.

9. Bake for 30–35 minutes until edges are golden and a toothpick has moist crumbs.

10. Cool completely before slicing.

Notes

For best results, avoid overmixing the batter.

Store in an airtight container for up to 4 days.

Freeze individually wrapped bars for up to 3 months.
