Ingredients
8 apples, peeled and thinly sliced
7 ounces fresh cranberries
2/3 cup brown sugar
3 tablespoons flour
1 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1/8 tsp cloves
Zest of 1 orange
2 tablespoons orange juice
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 1/2 sticks (3/4 cup) cold unsalted butter
1 1/2 cups old-fashioned oats
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 tsp salt
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 400°F and grease a 9×13 baking dish.
2. Peel and slice apples thinly.
3. In a large bowl, mix apples, cranberries, sugar, flour, spices, zest, juice, and vanilla.
4. Pour into prepared baking dish.
5. In same bowl, mix oats, flour, sugar, and salt. Cut in cold butter until crumbly.
6. Sprinkle topping over fruit mixture.
7. Bake for 45 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
8. Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream.
Notes
Use frozen cranberries if fresh are unavailable.
To make gluten-free, use a 1:1 GF flour blend.
Store in fridge for up to 4 days.
