Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup cottage cheese
- 1 large egg
- ½ cup almond flour (or breadcrumbs for extra crunch)
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- ¼ tsp garlic powder (optional)
- Pinch of salt
- ½ tsp paprika or smoked paprika (optional)
- Cooking spray or a little oil for brushing
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix cottage cheese, egg, almond flour, Parmesan, garlic powder, salt, and paprika until a thick, moldable dough forms.
- Shape the mixture into small sticks, about 3 inches long and ½ inch thick.
- Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3 to 5 minutes.
- Lightly spray or brush the basket with oil. Arrange the sticks in a single layer with space between them. Air fry for 10 to 12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
- Let them rest for 2 minutes before serving warm with marinara, ranch, or a spicy yogurt dip.
Notes
- Use almond flour for a low-carb version or breadcrumbs if you want extra crunch.
- Make sure the sticks are evenly shaped so they cook at the same rate.
- Do not skip the resting time. It helps the sticks firm up before serving.
- If your dough feels too wet, add a tablespoon of almond flour at a time until it holds its shape.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the air fryer at 350°F for 3 to 4 minutes.
