A delicious and easy cottage cheese cheeseburger casserole that combines the flavors of a classic cheeseburger in a comforting baked dish.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup cottage cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup cream cheese (softened)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup onion, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp mustard (optional, for burger flavor)
  • Salt & black pepper to taste
  • Optional: diced pickles for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. In a skillet, cook the ground beef and onion over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.
  3. In a bowl, mix together cottage cheese, cream cheese, eggs, garlic powder, mustard, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  4. Stir in the cooked beef mixture along with half of the cheddar cheese.
  5. Transfer the mixture to the greased baking dish and top with the remaining cheddar cheese.
  6. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the casserole is set and golden on top.
  7. Let cool for Shift5 minutes before serving. Add diced pickles on top if desired.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add diced pickles or a drizzle of ketchup before serving.
  • You can substitute ground turkey for a lighter version.
