- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup cottage cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup cream cheese (softened)
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup onion, chopped
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp mustard (optional, for burger flavor)
- Salt & black pepper to taste
- Optional: diced pickles for topping
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking dish.
- In a skillet, cook the ground beef and onion over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.
- In a bowl, mix together cottage cheese, cream cheese, eggs, garlic powder, mustard, salt, and pepper until smooth.
- Stir in the cooked beef mixture along with half of the cheddar cheese.
- Transfer the mixture to the greased baking dish and top with the remaining cheddar cheese.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the casserole is set and golden on top.
- Let cool for Shift5 minutes before serving. Add diced pickles on top if desired.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add diced pickles or a drizzle of ketchup before serving.
- You can substitute ground turkey for a lighter version.
