- Optional Orange Glaze: 1 cup powdered sugar, 2 tablespoons fresh orange juice
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In a large bowl, beat the softened butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Stir in the orange juice, orange zest, milk, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring gently until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
- For the optional glaze: In a small bowl, mix the powdered sugar and orange juice until smooth. Drizzle over the cooled cake.
