Ingredients

  • 8 ounces of egg noodles or rice noodles
  • 1 pound of beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
  • 4 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon of fresh ginger, minced
  • ¼ cup of soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons of brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of cornstarch
  • ½ cup of beef broth
  • 2 green onions, sliced for garnish
  • Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Mix soy sauce, brown sugar, hoisin sauce, and cornstarch in a bowl. Add the beef and toss to coat. Marinate for 10 minutes.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Add the marinated beef in a single layer. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.
  5. Sauté garlic and ginger in the same skillet for 1-2 minutes.
  6. Pour in beef broth and return the beef to the skillet. Simmer for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  7. Add the cooked noodles and toss to coat evenly.
  8. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.
  9. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes or sriracha.
  • Substitute chicken or tofu for beef if preferred.
  • Use low-sodium soy sauce for a healthier option.
